Well done to TY students Rachel Mc Gee, Caoimhe Delaney & Hannah Mc Nulty, on their entry ‘Zonenepetsa’ to the Junk Kouture competion. The design is inspired by Native American culture & style & ‘Zonenepetsa’ means Junk in Native American. Materials used in the design include: collected feathers, plastic spoons, plastic bottles, old lace curtains, broken up twigs, broken up jewellery, toilet roll holders spray painted & weaved, medicine bottle caps, rolled up newspapers & cardboard, All recycled materials are weaved, sewn, & glued together & spray painted rose gold, white & silver with added glitter!! We wish the girls the best of luck in the competition!! The outfit is made entirely from recycled materials such as out of date coffee beans, coffee stirrer sticks, cardboard, broken necklaces, old lace curtains, vintage coffee bags, plastics, newspapers, all sewn, glued, knitted, plaited together.
