Magh Ene College raises €720 for North West Hospice

Mrs. Sheila Brennan, a nurse from the North West Hospice visited the school this week. She can be seen here with some of the transition year and fifth year students who were involved in the fundraiser. Sheila was presented with €720 collected from the sale of St. Brigid’s Crosses. She extended her gratitude to all of the students and spoke about the work done by the hospice and how it always welcomes donations no matter how big or small. Magh Ene College has been involved in this annual fundraiser for the past 14 years. Thanks to Mrs. Fitzgerald who co-ordinates this fundraising activity in the school.  We are indebted to the local businesses that sold the crosses on our behalf. – in Kinlough;the post office, Marie’s shop, Spar and Simpsons Garage, in Bundoran; Supervalu, Simpsons, the post office and American House, Cara Pharmacy in Donegal Town and Supervalu in Manorhamilton.  A huge thank to all who supported this very worthy cause.
